Jack brings everything needed, including his acoustic guitar, a professional sound system for rooms large and small, and fun rhythm instruments to keep your residents fully involved.
Jack's ever-changing monthly programs include hundreds of classic hit songs in many musical styles from the 1950's through 1980's, memory-jogging historical trivia and even light physical exercise utilizing small hand rhythm instruments, where appropriate. Every monthly program is different from the last and can even double as a group birthday party with Jack featuring songs by famous entertainers born in that month. And if you'd like, Jack is happy to recognize and celebrate your own residents' birthdays each month.
Building positive ongoing relationships with your residents is Jack's main objective with his monthly morning or afternoon programs. But he also can provide memorable special events or parties for your residents on select evenings and weekends throughout the year. Inspired by music legends of the 1950's - 1970's Jack performs an extensive repertoire of songs covering hundreds of artists and many musical genres. His lively guitar/vocal performances take audiences on a musical walk down memory lane. His warm and engaging style keeps listeners involved in both the musical and historical elements of his song selections.
In his heyday, Jack worked extensively in Nashville, TN recording and sharing stages around the country with artists like Garth Brooks, Chris LeDoux, Tanya Tucker, Marie Osmond, Joe Diffee, Marshall Tucker Band, Doug Stone and more. In the 1990's Jack also starred in a children's television show called IMAGINELAND. The show was carried by over 300 PBS stations around the country.
It's important to stay true to your roots. When Jack was a teenager he honed his musical skills by performing for seniors in skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in his native South Texas. Now that Jack is semi-retired from the Nashville scene, he enjoys spends much of his time entertaining these cherished but often forgotten members of our society.
Jack lives in College Station, TX with his wife of 47 years, Debbie. Together they care for Debbie's 90-year old mother who shares their home with them.
